March to the Beat of Your Own Drum!

Woke up to this beautiful rhythm in my ear. It was like a poetic conversation that I knew I was suppose to capture, the words were as clear as an audible voice. I was hearing them as if I was having a full conversation with another person, so I instantly grab my apple laptop computer and began transcribing this inspiring conversation.

The poetic voice went something like this,

You become the beat to your own drum, the humming bird that sings to your own tunes and then, and only then, you can set your own stage to perform. You become the words you want to write. The authentic voice that wants to be heard and then, and only then, you will find your message.

You have to trust that small still voice inside of you. You have to shut out the opposing voices that is inside your head, that wants you to play it safe. That voice that wants you to blend in with rhythms and sounds that makes a good back ground noise but never the high pitch to be heard.

The beauty in life is that we all have our own pitch, but the sadness in life, is that our pitch is never heard! We are taught to conform from a young age our pitch, our voice, our sound and our rhythm to the sounds of others around us. We are taught to blend in with everybody else. We never learn that we can play by our own rules and on our own terms. I am talking about finding your own uniqueness.

We are never taught that we have a choice! So we stifle our creative flow and settle for the road of quite desperation. Well, I am here to tell you that it is never to late to discover your beat, it is never to late to discover your sound, it is never to late to discover your authentic voice and it is never to late to discover your rhythm.

You are the fearfully and wonderfully made woman that God created. You are the the phenomenal woman that Maya Angelo wrote about, you are the muse that an artist wants to paint about. You are a living, breathing, creative genius that is waiting to unfold like a beautiful flower greeting the spring time.

Tap into your spirit yearnings, let her breath, allow her to dance and fight for her to be set free to tap into her own voice. She is both creative and curious to know what is really on the inside of her. She is screaming let me out. Give her permission to be brilliant. Give her permission to be heard, Give her permission to be seen.

There is an urgency for her voice, skill and her talent. Others are waiting on her to open up her mouth and speak. She has a calling that is calling her higher. She has a purpose to fulfill. She can not go to her grave with her voice being oppressed because it is to risky. Her voice, her song, her sound, her beats, her drum, her gifts, her skills, her talents and her rhythm is the very thing that her sister needs so she does not go to the grave with her gifts on the inside of her.

Thank You for listening, inspired by the Holy Spirit!
