As I sit here thinking about all the blessings God has bestowed upon me, I can’t help but to be grateful for how He has blessed me through out the years. So many blessings for me to count, it would take more than 10 blog posts to count them all.
But I will share more than a few of my blessings with you in this blog. I am not sharing them with you to brag, but to showcase key points on how God manifest His blessing and gifts in a believers life. This is the Christmas season, and while people are shopping for gifts and wrapping presents, Christmas for me is everyday. The best present I get to unwrap everyday is my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the real reason why we celebrate Christmas in the first place.
Since I’ve learned the power of gratitude, I realize that I receive presents from my Heavenly Father every single day. At the end of my day, I write in my favorite journal, all the blessings and gifts that showed up for me in that day, and I thank God for every last one of them.
When I write in my journal, I not only thank God for what shows up in my life, but I also write out my prayers, goals and dreams, and those things shows up for me as well. Like the time I wrote out a list of all the things that I needed fixed around my house and prayed to God about it and thanked Him for the manifestation of it, and trusted in Him that it will get done.Well, when you ask God for something, just know it’s not going to manifest how you think it is going to manifest. That is why you have to detach yourself from the outcome. I had a small consuming fire in my bathroom. My vent fan overheated, by the way, the vent fan was on my list of things that needed to be fixed.
We smelled something burning and realized it was coming from the bathroom. We looked up and fire was falling down from the vent in the ceiling and onto the my bathroom rug.
We put the fire out that fell on the rug, we gathered all the children and got into the car, then we drove the car on the other side of the street and called the 911 to send the firemen/women to our home. Two red firetrucks and some policemen showed up. The fire didn’t spread, but the fireman had to break a small portion of the ceiling to make sure everything was fine and the fire did not spread in the ceiling.
The firemen and woman were so kind and nice to my family. There were a hosts of firemen and a fire woman that showed up. They were congregating, talking and laughing on our front lawn. Each child got a red plastic fire hat, they were so excited. You would’ve thought, we would have been all shook up, but it truly turned out to be a joyous occasion. The next day, we called someone out to fix the ceiling, they not only fixed the ceiling, my husband paid them to fix everything that concerned me. My list that I asked God to take of, was fulfilled. I want to show you that the fire was from God. It was his way of answering my prayers.
2 Chronicles 7:1-3 NIV 1 When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. 2 The priests could not enter the temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it.
3 When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, “He is good; his love endures forever.”
After everything were fixed, I realized God created the situation to answer my prayer. The fire represented the Holy Spirit, The red firetrucks and the red fire hats represented the blood of Jesus, and the Angelic Host represented the firemen/woman. The company that fix everything on my list, is called Praise Painting. My family knelt down in our hearts next to the pavement while we were thanking God that the fire was not that serious and we worshiped him by thanking Him for being so good to us and keeping us safe. So here are the things that got fixed on my list:
- New vent fan and ceiling fixed
- New vanity sink in the bathroom
- Better water flow in the bathroom sink
- New ceiling fan in my bedroom
- New electrical cover for the sockets
- New light fixture in my kids room
- Basement drywall reparied from a sum pump we had installed
- Light fixture in the hallway replaced with a new one
- Both toliets completely flushed out from my son throwing objects in the toliets
All of things I’ve listed in my favorite journal was fixed with one prayer!
Of course, I wrote in my favorite journal, thanking God for how quick he manifested this prayer for me and thanking Him for every single one of my blessings. Oh how my heart was so grateful to God, I learned a lot about how God operates from that experience and will leave the key points for you at the end of this blog.
But why don’t we go to another blessing and gift God manifested for me. I told you Christmas is everyday for me!While believing God for a new house, what shows up is a new car. Let me tell you, it is not about the things, it is about how God blesses you when you trust him to manifest certain things for you. He has manifested healing, deliverance and answered prayers for me.
I am choosing to use material things to get my points across. It is about God giving you your hearts desire, it is about acknowledging every blessing that shows up for you, it is about being grateful when God blesses you with what one might consider to be insignificant things.
See, I chose to give up my business, to come home and raise my kids. I was use to buying whatever I want, when I wanted it, because the money flow was there. I was use to taking care of myself and being the independant woman.
But when my husband and I decided it was best for me to come home and help raise our childern, it took alot of faith on my part, that is why I know God can take care of the single parent and the woman who decides to live on one income to stay at home to raise her family and now have to rely on God and her husband to make sure her needs are met.
God has proven Himself to be a provider over and over again in my life! From the day I decided to come home and take care of my family, I never lacked anything but gain more than I ever had, working. The scripture passage that I hold dear in my thoughts and in my heart is DO NOT WORRY!
6:25-34 NKJV
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Yes, I thought about a new car, but I didn’t ask for the new car because I wanted the house before the car. I was putting the car on the back burner until the house manifested. I had my own plans on how I thought it should go.
After thanking God in my favorite journal at the end of my day for all the wonderful blessings and gifts that manifested for me, I closed my Journal and went to sleep. I woke up the next day and my husband said we are getting a new car today. I didn’t say a word because I had not ask for a car, I asked for a house.
But remember, I had pondered a new car in my heart. Only God knew what was in my heart. Yes we got a new car! Without any effort on my part. My husband and daughter took charge of that. My husband asked what color I wanted, and I told him. I then stated my desires for what amenties I wanted to have inside the car, and the rest was history.
My husband made sure I got my heart desires and every amenties that I wanted, our new car had. We were in need of a new car because our SUV at the time, needed to be repaired to often.
I want to share one more blessing with you and name some gifts given to me from the Lord this year and then I will list ways God manifest his blessing.
I told you I wanted a new house and it will manifest for me in its own time, but the house I am currently living in is new. Let me tell you why. As a results of me writing in my favorite journal.
I wrote to God about all the things I wanted to upgrade in my home in my favorite journal and each and everyone one of those things have been done. Of course, I wrote in my journal how thankful and grateful I was when it manifested for me.
My husband and I was going to put our house on the market to sell but decided not to because we want to handle our finances the Biblical way, read God’s Way, Verse The Worlds Way, On Money and Debt to see what I am talking about. God use this to get everything in my house, like new. This is all the things that were on my 2nd list that manifested.
- We got a new drive way poured and new front porch
- We Painted the house
- Put in a new sum pump system to keep the basement dry
- Refinished (meaning) painted our kitchen cabinets
- New refrigerator
- Cleaned the carpets through out the house
- Privacy fenced in the back yard, this wasn’t new but we put it in within the last 2-3 years.
- Regrouted our back splash in the kitchen
- Sealed up cracks in the walls and ceiling
Then when it was all done, we decided not to sell and take care of others things first. At first, I wasn’t to happy, but when I realized it, I was living in a new paid for house! I am content and in time God will manifest a new location for me and my family but I am super grateful to God for giving me Christmas everyday!
There are so many other stories I want to tell, but I will find a way to tell you in another blog. Right now, I want to share with you key points on how God shows up and make Christmas happen for you everyday.
Key Points:
- Build a relationship with God by accepting His son as your Lord and Saviour.
- Trust Him for everything.
- Go out and buy you a journal that you love! Or purchase one like mines. It should be on sale for the Christmas season.
- Write things down. Your prayers, goals, desires and dreams.
- Ask God to help you manifest it, and then allow him to manifest it the way He choose to.
- Detach yourself from the outcome.
- Be grateful everyday. Write down all the things you are grateful for that day.
- Thank God for it, when it shows up.
- And do it over the next day and the next and the next day.
- Worship him and sing his praise, He loves that!
