Have you ever went through a struggle and didn’t know how you would overcome it? Things were being thrown at you, that you had never experienced before. Today you are going to learn how to be a giant slayer!
Ladies, there are going to be situations in your life, that is going to require you to give your full attention to or else it will remain the same because you fail to stand up and speak against it.
I do understand, sometimes you do not want to face your giants because of fear of rocking the boat. Meaning, you do not want to be the elephant in the room. You do not want to be the one that disrupts the soil or Satan’s agenda.
But what I realize in this life is, if you want peace in your life, sometimes it will require you to stand up for your God given promises. I would love to just fight everything in prayer, but there are times when God would require you to face the very thing that you wish could just go away in prayer.
Sometimes, God is working some stuff out of you and is teaching you to be bold as a lion and to face the giants that stands before you. Things are being worked out of you like intimidation, fear and timidity. God is building you up on the inside and is replacing that fear with boldness and courage. If you sit back and allow things to happen in your life, you never have peace in that particular situation.
There are blessings, dreams, rights and covenants that have been given to you to possess and enjoy in this life, but you must cover them in prayer. Just because your blessings were freely given to you doesn’t mean that forces of darkness wants to see you enjoy your God given blessings.
You can not just sit back and allow your blessings to be without watering of the word of God. You have to give your full love, time and attention to them. You must learn to wage war on the spirit of darkness, then have the boldness, and courage to stand up and speak to those spirits.

As a believer of God’s word, you can not live as one who is clueless and in sleep mode to the things that are around you. Your enemy Satan, would love nothing more than to catch you off guard so he can come in and scatter your life. I love what the Bible has to say about this.
1 Peter 5:8-14 (Message Bible) “Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever.
It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ eternal and glorious plans they are! Will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes he does.
Sleeping in your life in my opinion is an absence of communion and fellowship with God. Which is prayer, meditation and reading of God’s word(Bible). When you have those 3 components in your life, you can pick up in the spiritual realm when there is foul play in your atmosphere or when the spirit of darkness wants to gain access to your promises.
Ladies, I am going to need for you to be alert and awake! Your dreams, your purpose, your marriage and your family lineage are at stake.

I have seen so many things that have been snatch away from people all because they were sleeping in their life.
I am reminded of a story in the Bible about a boy name David. He could have lost it all if he were sleeping in his life. He could have lost it all if he was not connected to God through prayer and fellowship. He would have lost it all if he lived his life in fear and intimidation. For time sake, I will give a very short version of the story. Read the full story in 1 Samuel 17, in the Holy Bible. David and Goliath
David, a handsome boy from Israel stood up to face the giant Goliath from the Philistines. Goliath was very huge, very intimidating and has never lost a fight. But none of the soldiers from the Israelite camp wanted to fight the giant, not even the king who’s name was Saul. They feared that Goliath would destroy them.
By the way, the Israelites were God chosen people. They had God on their side. All they had to do was fear not, and put their trust in him. In the past, God worked miracles, after miracles for them.
David was brave enough to face this giant because he did put his trust in God almighty. David was a shepherd boy. While looking after the sheep, he protected them from their predators. David killed a lion and ran off a bear with his sling shot. King Saul offered a reward to the man who kills Goliath.
The reward would be wealth, his daughter in marriage, and exempt his family from taxes in Israel. When David heard this good news, he knew this could change the course of his life and his family.
Everyone around him, especially his brothers, thought he could not do it because they looked at his size and statue. King Saul doubted him as well. The Giant tried to intimidate him and cause him to run and draw back.
David was not in fear. David knew what his God could do if he be willing to stand up to this Giant. Goliath made all kinds of threats to David. But David boldly proclaimed his God given rights to Goliath. David knew if he did not fight Goliath, it could effect the whole generation of the Israelites, It could have wiped out his lineage, purpose and promises.
David was fighting for his marriage, his finances, his purpose and his lineage. He was not going down without a fight. Others around him were afraid and was trying to evoke their fears on the inside of him but he was not having it!
Saul even gave David armor to protect himself from the giant but the armor did not fit him. David told Saul, “this armor do not fit me.” David said, God has given me my own weapons to defeat this Giant. David Won! He defeated, destroyed and killed his Giant. Now you go and do the same to to your giants.
Here are the 8 ways David slayed his giant?
- Relationship and communion with God (prayer)
- Knowing his covenant rights (confessions of God’s word, Bible)
- Confidence and trust in the living God
- Purpose or a reason to fight his giant
- Courage to stand up to the giant
- Boldness to face the giant
- A voice to speak back to the giant
- David did have a natural tool to wipe this giant out for good(sling shot). Now, I am not advocating using physical force, but there are times when you will have shut the door on somethings, remove yourself from some situations and disconnect from some places and people.
