Unit Studies is an awesome way to cut 8 subjects down a day and focus only on about 3-4 subjects a day. You are still teaching all the subjects but not all in one day. Math is the only subject I do not incorporate in my unit studies. I have a math curriculum for each one of my children. Today I want to share with my homeschooling community how I keep my homeschool curriculum simple, fun, engaging, challenging and easy.
I used to think you had to have a curriculum for all 8 subjects. One for math, spelling, writing, history, science, art, reading and english(language arts, grammar).

Yes I was a homeschooling novice, when I homeschooled my daughter in the kindergarten, I dedicated the basement room to my daughter classroom and decorated the walls like her traditional classroom setting. I have learned since then that for me having to much of anything if it is not being used it is just plain hoader-ism. So I have adopted a new homeschool philosophy.
