10 Ways to bring in beauty, love and romanticism in your intimate time with God

Hello Beautiful,

I coined the month of February as the LOVE month.

This month I will be sharing ways to incorporate beauty, love and romanticism into your intimate times with God, yourself, marriage, homeschool and your home.

10 Ways to incorporate beauty, love and romanticism in your intimate time with God

1. Set the atmosphere to usher in the presence of God.

Prepare a space in your home that you can go and spend time talking and fellowshipping with the Heavenly Father. Create your own private sanctuary.

Have you ever noticed the atmosphere when you walk into a sanctuary?

The atmosphere is clean, organized peaceful and beautiful. I have yet to walk into a sanctuary and didn’t see greenery or beautiful flowers or hear God inspiring music.

They are setting the tone for you to come and worship the Lord. You can create that same atmosphere in your home. Create an ambience in your sanctuary.

2. Make sure your space is free of clutter and is organized. There is something about having an organized space, for me, it brings clarity to my thoughts.

3. Decorate your sanctuary with beautiful greenery or flowers. You can also hang pictures on the walls with your favorite scripture saying.

I have 3 motivational pictures on my wall and a picture that reads FAITH, HOPE, LOVE.

4. Play beautiful God inspiring worship music. This is what romanticism is all about. There is nothing like worship music that will usher in the King of kings and the Lord of lords into the room.

5. Bring in beautiful aromas into your sanctuary like room spray, aromatherapy diffuser, plug-ins or scented candles.

6. Make sure the atmosphere is peaceful. I like my intimate time with God to be before early morning sunrise, right around 4:30am. At that time my house is very quiet and peaceful because my whole family is asleep. It’s just me and the Heavenly Father in sweet fellowship.

7. Fill your sanctuary with rich literature like the Bible, your study tools for studying the Bible, devotionals, journals, writing tools and your favorite must reads.

The Bible is a perfect place to read poetry. These books are filled with poetry you can read as love letters from God to you, love letters for your marriage, prayers of protection and wisdom for your life.

The Poetic Books are:
Job.
Psalms.
Proverbs.
Ecclesiastes.
Song of Songs.

8. Pour your heart out in worship and admiration before the Lord. Besides Jesus Christ dying on the cross to save humanity. This is the one of the greatest love exchange on earth. God loving us unconditionally and we get to love him back by extolling praise upon him.

9. Remove the clutter out of your heart and thoughts. Tell God all about it. Have a confession and a repentance session with the Lord. I read an article by The Rev. Annie Shear that said,

Are you tired of wrestling over and over again with the same old concerns? Has it become aggravating to the point it is beginning to weigh you down?

1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for us”. Just throw it on him, and let him carry your burdens.

Jesus said we could cast all of our cares on him because he cares for us! There is nothing we are going through that we cannot cast on the Lord. .

10. Dance before the Lord. Look at how David danced before the Lord after recovering the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant.

2 Samuel 6:14-22NLV
David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a priestly.

Unfortunately, David’s wife whose name was Michal was jealous of her own husband dancing before the Lord. Michal thought David was trying to show off for the servant girls.

David retorted to Michal, “I was dancing before the Lord, who chose me above your father and all his family! He appointed me as the leader of Israel, the people of the Lord, so I celebrated before the Lord. Yes, and I am willing to look even more foolish than this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes! But those servant girls you mentioned will indeed think I am distinguished!”

Bonus! 11. Show God gratitude. David was grateful to God for choosing him over everyone else to be the leader over Isreal, and to show God his appreciation, he danced before Him in front of everyone and David was not ashamed.

What are you grateful to God for? How can you show appreciation to God for all the good things he has done for you.

I know, show it in a dance! Or write in your journal all the things you are grateful for in your life.

I like to write at least 10 things that I am grateful for every day.

There you have it.
